Pediatric Feeding: The Big Picture Module 1
In this first module in our series making up Pediatric Feeding: The Big Picture Day 1, we focus on getting a good foundation to understand, evaluate, and treat pediatric feeding disorders competently. After outlining the Scope of Practice for both SLP’s and OT’s as pertains to feeding, we learn the timeline for normal development of feeding behaviors and how oral motor skills are related to gross motor skills. Very importantly, we learn how to assess the potential for improvement when working with these children.
