IAOM 2021 Session 11 | Engaging the Reticent Child in OFM Treatment
Some children are reluctant to open their mouths and/or imitate oral movements and change their swallows. Strategies will be presented that make therapy irresistible to both foster the children’s trust and enthusiasm. Non-reticent children also love these techniques.
1. Participants will be able to implement simple techniques to gain a child’s trust.
2. Participants will be able to utilize toys to get kids excited about OFM techniques.
3. Participants will be able to create a number of OFM exercise into fun games.
